Do you like to read? Fish? Sew? There are clubs for all of these interests and then some. If you can act, sing or play an instrument there are groups for that as well. Pick a game, any game! Mah jong, Bunco, and Texas Hold’em are some of the games our residents have organized and enjoy in our newly renovated card rooms that are part of the $8 million expansion of our Town Center and Brokke Community Center. If cards don’t suit you, there’s billiards, a ukulele club, book club, knitting and crocheting group, and other activities that cover a range of interests. Needless to say, if you can’t find a group to meet your needs, you can form your own group to do so. Arts and crafts aren’t just drawing and painting – they include flower arranging, ceramics, and pottery. Biking, walking, or fishing can also keep you occupied. The hard part is trying to fit all of this into your week! You certainly won’t be bored living in Pelican Preserve.
